Below are the main activities, events and projects that we ESN Maleventum volunteers organize for our Erasmus! The description is short but we assure you that during these meetings something special and unforgettable always happens! We give you a simple advice ... leave the house and come and visit us! You will not regret it!

TANDEM NIGHT

About twice a month, on Thursdays, we organize Tandem evenings! These are events based on language exchange aimed at integrating Erasmus students and discovering new cultures! At the beginning of each semester, to encourage new Erasmus students to get to know each other, we offer friendly speed dates and then move on to board games in different languages, such as Taboo or the game of mimes! We meet after dinner in some places affiliated with ESN Maleventum trying to alternate them as much as possible to give the Erasmus students the opportunity to get to know typical bars / pubs of our city!

TRIPS IN THE REGION

With these famous trips we take our international friends to discover the local surroundings:

• Naples
• Salerno
• Amalfi Coast
• Caserta

In autumn, cultured and happy, we inevitably end the trips to the ICE, the event organised by ESN Italy, where the erasmus student from all over italy meet in Rome to discover one of the best cities in the world.

ERASMUS IN SCHOOL

Erasmus in school is a project that aims to bring European culture and Erasmus students into schools, from elementary to high school, for the travelers of tomorrow. In this first semester we have organized a cycle of three meetings in an elementary school, and many other meetings have already been planned for the next semester. It is interesting to see how the fact of being placed in front of young people from all over Europe and their experiences stimulates curiosity and so many questions from students. EiS is the best way that ESN has to make itself known to the “little ones”, trying to make known and expand the Erasmus generation!

SOCIAL ERASMUS

Social Erasmus is a project that raises awareness among Erasmus students and helps them feel an active part of the community they live in, helping those in need. The projects are many, from charity to collaboration with Caritas. Another interesting activity is that of Exchange Ability, through games and activities the Erasmus students try to put themselves in the shoes of those with a disability. Blind games, food experiences and other activities that raise awareness among children and help them understand the difficulties of some disabilities!

CINEFORUM

Every second Thursday we organize the Cineforum with ESN. We screen films of Italian production, with the aim of making our traditions, stories and regional realities known through the artistic medium of cinema, traveling throughout the country with our most famous actors and directors. All films are in Italian with English subtitles, to help learning the language. 

ESN Maleventum

It was officially born in 2002 on the initiative of some students returning from the Erasmus program. The name was later changed, in 2006, to E.S.N. Maleventum to recall the historical importance of the city.
Thanks to their experience, the ESN students help, with advice and useful information, both those who intend to leave for an exchange program and those who come to live in Benevento as an Erasmus.
Contacting ESN before departure, for a shorter or longer period of mobility, allows you to have more information on the experience abroad and concrete help to overcome major bureaucratic difficulties.
Each year the Benevento section sees its number of members grow, with an annual average (so far) of 100 members.
ESN Maleventum is the only section officially recognized by the University of Sannio. The registered office, in fact, is located right inside the Research and International Relations Office.
It is also the only one in the area to organize activities and events aimed at foreign and non-foreign students in possession of the ESN card.
